  • Provides support and motivation to like-minded consumers. Advantages include:

    *Helps consumer realize they are not alone

    *Facilitates giving and receiving support

    *Helps consumer find their “voice”

    *Helps consumer relate to others (and themselves) in healthier ways.

  • Assisting consumers connect to counseling services at Shalanda’s House, Inc. and community partner resources.

    Benefits of outreach:

    *educate/inform consumers or those that interact with consumers

    *establish beneficial connections between consumer and organizations.

  • Provides a valuable resource for the employee that provides support and information during difficult times, as well as consultation on day-to-day concerns. EAP is an assessment, short-term counseling, and referral service designed to provide the employee and their family with assistance in managing everyday concerns.
